Practice Nursing
Members of the practice nursing team have different specialist skills and receptionists will be able to advise patients of the most appropriate clinician for their care:

- Libby Lawrey - Phlebotomist
- Helen Marriott-Power - Healthcare Assistant
Appointments should be made for vaccinations (children and adults), travel advice, cervical smears, weight clinic, smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, COPD & asthma clinic, diabetic clinic, heart disease, INR clinics, health checks, ear syringing, dressings and removal of sutures.
Nursing sessions are held at the following times:

| Friday | 8.30 – 1.30 & 3.00 - 6.00 |
Contraception and Family Planning Advice is given on all forms of contraception including emergency contraception such as the morning after pill. Pre-conceptual advice is also available from the Practice Nurse or GPs.
Cervical Smears
The practice runs a screening programme with automatic recall as appropriate. This test is important for all women aged between 25-64. The test is done by appointment with either the Practice Nurse or a doctor.
Non NHS Services
Special appointments for medical examinations for insurance, driving, sports, employment, etc can be made through the receptionists. A fee is usually charged for these medicals.
Minor Surgery
Removal of moles, cysts, joint/soft tissue injections etc can be arranged by appointment. Please consult the Doctor first.
